Deer Valley Farm began as a dream of Fred Clark's 20 years ago. The plan was to have a herd of Limousin cattle, to show and exhibit at state and local shows. As with all dreams and plans , things change and change they did!
As with any business Fred Clark said be the best that you can be by providing your customers with SERVICE, SUPERIOR GENETICS, and above all a PROGRAM and BRAND that they can TRUST to ADD VALUE to their bottom line. With this enthusiastic business approach the decision to not just raise Limousin cattle but to raise and market the very best the Limousin breed had to offer was implemented. The search to find and acquire the most elite Limousin donors in the breed began. From this point forward the Deer Valley Farm Limousin success can be measured by our past success in selling competitive show heifers, elite donors and sound performance tested Limousin Bulls.
The Deer Valley Farm Angus program began an idea to provide our trusted and valued commercial customers with another alternative to their cross breeding programs. In the Spring of 2005 the first Angus females were acquired from reputation programs around the country. In selecting these Angus females we based our criteria on programs that were trusted and respected within the industry, genetically they represented superior AI sires in multiple generations of their pedigree’s and still maintained that powerful yet feminine look that we believe Angus cattle must have. In a short time we put together a base of Angus females that we believe any Angus breeder would be proud of. From here we studied the most elite cow families available and soon found ourselves negotiating to buy an entire herd of Angus females where many of those prospective cow families were already represented. After acquiring this herd we then began adding pieces to our Angus puzzle from several of the breed’s premier programs.
Looking back on the Deer Valley Farm history there is no doubt that it has been exciting and with the enthusiasm we have and the love we have for our Angus and Limousin cattle there is little doubt that the future is bright at Deer Valley Farm.
